SF Parking v. MPLS Passive Aggressiveness

Okay, the other week I drove to Bryant Lake Bowl (good nachos) for Rockstar Storytellers: Sci-Fi & Fantasy which not only appealed to the geek in me but even had people I know starring in it.

After years of driving and parking in San Francisco, I'm going to take the first free space that my tiny Yaris hatchback can fit into, especially if it's quite close to my destination! So I thought to photograph my expertly-parked car behind a SUV with PLENTY of room in front of it for leaving its space:

Hours later after having a blast at the show, I found this postcard under my windshield wiper:

I don't know where this person learned punctuation but what has definitely been learned is the passive aggressive style of the Minnesotan. I laughed the laugh that kept me from crying...

A)no one was damaged
B)the fault lies more with the jackass who drives an SUV in a major city. It's mean to the SUV, which was meant, like a wild horse, to roam off-road, but also to every person around them who must tolerate their compensation issues.

Ha! Yeah, I know a lot of people who have SUVs for towing, rough country roads, the kinds of things you see in the commercials, but getting around a major city in one is too much...

Be happy for the passive, I'd say. Do you remember the little black Cabrio I used to drive...? I parked too close to some AZN racer once and got severely keyed for my trouble. I'd have taken the note, had I the chance. :-(

Oh, I'll take the note over a keying any day! I totally coveted that little Cabrio!

Yeah, wish I still had it. Have wanted a Mini since, what, 2002?, but settled (with gratitude) for a Versa this time 'round. Maybe I'll get the Mini once we're in Seattle -- maybe every third person won't be driving one, there, as they are here in SF...
